This tour takes place in a minibus of 24 or 15 passengers. This combined two guided tours included admission to Log Crafter experiance and Contact Nature. A guide will accompany you throughout this tour to give more information on the history of the region, the main economic sectors, fishing on ice, etc.
Visit to the Fishway (45 minutes)
Theme: La Baie (heritage sector) - Business town. Interpreted tour of *workman's road* and the high-end executive neighbourhood remaining from the defunt Consolidated Bathurst (once a paper factory). Discover different architectures and learn how Saguenay was first developed
Before you return to your ship, Visit the Fishway. The Rivière-à-Mars fishway is the best place to learn about the Atlantic salmon and sea trout in the Saguenay. Visit the level ladder which allows salmon arriving from the ocean to bypass the dam to spawn!

Walking in the canyon along the salmon river. (90 minutes)
In the heart of Saguenay 15 minutes by minibus from the port of call in the Bec-Scie Outdoor Center offers breathtaking scenery. Follow the trails along the magnificent Rivière-à-Mars canyon and cross the footbridges that offer views of this spirited stream. Throughout the course, our guide will allow you to familiarize yourself with the natural phenomena that have shaped this landscape. The route is accessible to the whole family. Have a great hike!
Commented passage of the heritage sector
From beaver dame to de log cabins!
Once arriving at “Bois Rond Expérience”, get ready to discover the natural habitat of Canada’s main wood craftsman, the beaver. The tour includes a multi-level beaver dam, as well as information about constructions made out of wood. Finally, a short hike through the forest and a small waterfall will allow you to learn more about Canadian forests. Please note that this tour is not based on the observation of the beaver itself; yet, you might get very lucky and be honoured by the presence of this majestic creature.
